Lesson 8: managing access rights to project folders

In addition to our Collaborations tool, which allows you to invite collaborators to specific videos of your choosing, and our Manager feature, which grants full access to your account, we are excited to introduce a new level of access rights management.

Now, you can give other users access to specific folders in your archive. Wondering how it works? Follow the steps:

1. Log in to your account and click on your avatar located at the top right corner of the page.
2. Click on "Change account".
3. And then click on "Account settings"

We're almost there, so stay with me.

First, you'll need to enter the email address or ID of the user you want to grant access to your folder(s). Then, select the "Project Folder Access" option and click on "Assign Projects." A new window will appear.

Now, select the folders you want to grant access to. Click on "Add Project Folder" and choose the specific folders. For example, I will select the "Marketing" folder.

Remember, you can also include subfolders.

Once you have chosen a folder, click on "Assign Folder" to add it. In my case, I want to grant access to this folder only.

As you can see, I have selected the "Marketing" folder. Next, I will click on "Invite Manager" to grant access to the user. Afterwards, you can check if the user has gained access to the folder.

To view the folder to which this user has been granted access, simply click on the folder icon below "PROJECTS".

You can also revoke access anytime by clicking on the designated button.

Another new level of managing access rights on alugha. Enjoy!
